UK: Si Exhibits At 18th Annual National Information Security Conference
Sapphire recently invited Si to exhibit at the 18th Annual National Information Security Conference (NISC) held at the Westerwood Hotel in Glasgow.
Attracting information security professionals and IT Directors from across the UK and Channel Islands, the conference addressed the areas from the 2016 NISC Cyber Risks Survey named as ‘most concern’.
Speakers at the event included Steven Wilson, the Head of Business European Cybercrime Centre for Europol, who discussed the importance of events such as NISC to raise awareness within industry. Dr Jessica Barker presented on the closing day of the conference and provided a lively and engaging presentation on the elements of human nature and what makes us susceptible to social engineering attacks.
Discussing topics such as the challenges of managing insider threats, a lack of visibility of meaningful security information, as well as compliance, NISC also enabled delegates to meet with the Si Cyber team to gain a better understanding of the cyber security solutions available to organisations today.
