UK: Si Presents “Next Generation SOCs” at NISC Cyber Security Seminar in Scotland
Sapphire recently invited Si to give a presentation on “Next Generation Security Operation Centres” at their Cyber Security event held at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Aberdeen.
According to the Economist, data is now the world’s most valuable resource – not oil – and this must be why there was such a great turn out at the event, with delegates travelling from across the north of Scotland to learn more about the current state of cyber security in 2017.
The seminar formed part of the NISC (National Information Security Conference) series of educational events and provided practical advice for businesses who want to protect themselves against new and emerging threats. Delegates who attended the event ranged from providers of Oil & Gas, local and central government through to housing associations and manufacturers.
Feras Tappuni, Si’s Managing Director, took the audience through a roadmap of building, operating and maturing an efficient security operation center to provide 24x7 Security Incident Detection and Response capabilities. Feras explained the maturity model required to move customers to a next generation SOC by introducing themes such as behavioural anomalytics, SOC automation and situational intelligence.
Si’s global SOCs and Cyber Security team span across centers located in London, New York, Dubai, Doha and Pune. Si has at its disposal over 200 dedicated security professionals who provide SOC monitoring for over 120 customer locations including banks, sovereign wealth funds and heads of state.
